The Best Ayurvedic Drink for Sleep Deprivation, Postpartum Recovery & Lasting Energy
"I don't think I'm doing anything wrong—I just don't know how anyone is supposed to function on three hours of sleep."
A client said this to me a few months after giving birth, and her words have stayed with me ever since. Sleep deprivation changes everything: energy, mood, digestion, immunity, hormones, athletic performance, mental performance, and your sense of self.
Around the same time, I worked with another new mother who recovered in a traditional postpartum care center abroad. Each day she was nourished with warm meals, supported by caregivers, and given space to rest. Months later she described feeling physically strong and emotionally steady.
The difference wasn’t how hard someone worked or how smart they were. It was support.
Most people don’t have that kind of care system. I certainly haven't! But we can still create small daily rituals that support recovery. This drink is one of them.
