About the Event
Fasting has psychological, physiological and spiritual benefits. It frees us from bondage and enhances our ability to receive. It's not easy, so on this day, we will do it with friends. Pick something to fast from for some time during the day - it may be food or some other sensory input. We'll talk more about what you are practicing.
Heather will present the benefits and risks of fasting from yogic philosophy, Ayurveda, and modern biomedical research, and we will discuss:
- Ayurvedic tools to connect the body with the soul
- Different types of fasting
- Your reasons for fasting
